Valicenti is among the highest tauted living graphic designers having been awarded the AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Medal, the highest honor of the graphic design profession. He was then honored by the White House in 2011 with the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Award for Communication Design.
